Meet Becca

After an acute lymphoblastic leukemia diagnosis around her seventh birthday, ten-year-old Becca is now celebrating two years of remission! The physical limitations that Becca once experienced as a result of her cancer are gone, and she now keeps very busy with an assortment of activities, like volleyball, playing the flute, and cooking.

“It is nice to know that there are organizations and amazing sports teams and companies working to put an end to childhood cancer."

Fighting and beating cancer has greatly impacted Becca. She used her initial diagnosis as inspiration to help others, raising money for Tackle Kids Cancer via her Facebook page “Allergic to Cancer.”

The coalition that TKC has formed around this same goal is also a source of encouragement for her.

“It is nice to know that there are organizations and amazing sport teams and companies working to put an end to childhood cancer,” Becca says.

Even after two years of remission, Becca continues to be an advocate for those battling pediatric cancer.

“People should realize that kids get cancer, too,” she says. And of her future in taking on cancer from the other side of it, she says, “I want to be a doctor because of all I went through.”
