After Megan “Mighty Meg” finished her cancer treatment at the Children’s Cancer Institute last month, she received a special congratulations from an old friend: 2020 FedEx Cup Champion, Dustin Johnson.
Megan met Johnson last year at THE NORTHERN TRUST, when she was in the midst of treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). She served as a flag bearer at last year’s event and accompanied Johnson for an entire hole. She was even given the chance to hit a putt!
Now on the other end of her cancer fight, Megan received a warm message from Johnson celebrating her bravery and perseverance.
“Ever since I met you at the 2019 THE NORTHERN TRUST, I knew you would tackle your cancer and win,” shared Johnson. “You inspired me to win THE NORTHERN TRUST again this year, and I really hope to see you soon.”
