For the second year in a row, from September 11 to October 8, Modell’s Sporting Goods stores and Tackle Kids Cancer teamed up for the “Give 5, Get 5” campaign. When Modell’s shoppers donated $5 to TKC at the register, they received $5 off a future purchase. The program raised $77,000 for the Children’s Cancer Institute at Hackensack Meridian Health for pediatric cancer research.
During the November 19 New York Giants vs. Kansas City Chiefs game at MetLife Stadium, Modell’s store managers, Jim Roloph and Victor DiPaolo presented the $77,000 check to Hackensack Meridian Health co-CEO Bob Garrett, Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation president, Jon M. Fitzgerald, and MVP Hayden and his family.
