Noreen Quinlan, APN is an advanced practice nurse serving the Children’s Cancer Institute at Hackensack Meridian Health Hackensack University Medical Center. Quinlan provides direct care for pediatric hematology and oncology patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings; provides staff and patient education; and serves as a liaison between the multidisciplinary team, patients and their families.
Quinlan previously worked as a pediatric nurse practitioner at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center for 11 years where she provided care for pediatric oncology patients diagnosed with lymphoma, leukemia and sarcomas in collaboration with a pediatric oncologist in the outpatient setting. She also worked at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO, where she established and coordinated a comprehensive long-term follow-up clinic for oncology patients.
Quinlan earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Columbia University and a Master of Arts in Nursing-Executive Nursing at the Teachers College of Columbia University. She completed a fellowship at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN and was certified as a pediatric nurse practitioner/oncology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
Quinlan is a member of the Association of Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurses (APHON) and founding president of its Metro New York Chapter, and she is a member of the
Children’s Oncology Group. Ms. Quinlan has been honored by the American Cancer Society with the Lane Adams Award for Excellence in Nursing Practice.
Her certifications include: American Nurses Association Pediatric Nurse practitioner; Association Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurses.
