Laura Van De Putte is a nurse manager of the Outpatient/Inpatient Children’s Cancer Institute, Pediatric Photopheresis and The Pediatric Day Accommodation Suite at Hackensack Meridian Health Hackensack University Medical Center. Her responsibilities include but are not limited to: strategic planning, program development, preparations for FACT, Magnet and Joint Commission surveys. Van De Putte has served Hackensack University Medical Center in several areas since 1992, including Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
A graduate of Mountainside School of Nursing, she earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Jersey City State College and her Masters of Science in Nursing at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She is certified in pediatric oncology nursing and is also a member of the Association of Pediatric Oncology Nurses (APHON).
Her certifications include: Pediatric Oncology Nurse, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Basic Life Support, and APHON Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certified. A member of International Surgical Mission Support- Operation Kids since 2009, she travels with this organization to underserved countries and performs life-changing surgeries.
