I am constantly inspired by the fortitude of my patients and their families in what is the most wrenching occurrence of their lives. Their ability to quickly adjust and focus on the best treatment both physically and mentally is amazing to me. This ability of people to cope and teach their children and siblings to cope is what motivates me. I never feel closer to my patients than in situations like this.
