New York Knicks

In December 2016, Madison Square Garden and the Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation announced a long-term partnership focusing on its Tackle Kids Cancer initiative. TKC will align with the Garden of Dreams Foundation and key MSG properties including the New York Knicks, New York Liberty, the Arena at Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall to raise needed funds for Pediatric Cancer research and programs. Proceeds generated through this partnership support Tackle Kids Cancer and the Garden of Dreams Foundation improving the lives of children battling childhood cancers and helping to find a cure.

Honorary Ball Kid Experience

TKC MVPs were honorary ball kids December 22, 2016 at the Knicks vs. Orlando game. They watched pre-game warm ups, passed balls back to the players, and gave high-fives to the starting lineup.

Proud Partners

Robert C. Garrett, co-chief executive officer at Hackensack Meridian Health, announced the partnership between Tackle Kids Cancer and Madison Square Garden during his interview with MSG anchor Rebecca Haarlow. “We are truly honored to have the incredible opportunity to partner with the Garden of Dreams Foundation and Madison Square Garden in order to Tackle Kids Cancer,” said Garrett.

MSG Network Behind the Scenes

Our MVPs Kaia and Danny had a behind the scenes tour of the MSG Network and sat behind the sports anchor desk at the pre-broadcast meeting. They even got to meet Knicks legend and anchor Walt “Clyde” Frazier and Al Trautwig.
